Spread the word and let’s get The Misfits onto everyone’s Christmas list ? xx
Wednesday 1st November 2017
1pm til 2pm
Wrexham Library, Wrexham, LL11 1AU
Come and join my Learning at Lunchtime event as I share with you the process I use for planning my novels.
I will use my second novel, Broken Bonds, as an example as I take you through picking your characters’ names and developing them into real people and advice on mapping out the bones of your story before fleshing it out.
This will be followed by a chat about the themes and messages within Broken Bonds. I will finish with a reading from the novel before fielding any burning questions you may have about writing.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of all my novels.
I hope to see you there!!
7pm – 9pm
Alkington Grange Barns, Alkington, Whitchurch, SY13 3NH
Struggling to know where to start? Are your character names and personalities eluding you? Do you hit road blocks and don’t know where to go next?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions then this workshop is for you!
Come along and let horror writer Marie Anne Cope guide you along the journey to planning your novel. With tips on picking your characters’ names and developing them into real people and advice on mapping out the bones of your story before fleshing it out; this six week course will give you the tools and inspiration to get to Chapter 1, and beyond.
After that, it’s over to you!
Dark fantasy author Marie Anne Cope has a structured and successful way of planning the plot and characters of her stories. No matter what genre you write, you will find Marie’s workshop full of tips and practical exercises to help you master these elements. After that…it’s up to you!
More detail on what the course will cover is on the Eventbrite Link below, when you can also book your ticket:
STRICTLY LIMITED to 10 people only.
Write Blend, 124 South Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, L22 0ND
Write Blend becomes Fright Blend for this evening of pre-Hallowe’en chills.
Horror writer Marie Anne Cope will take you on a journey to explore the meaning of terror and horror and to debate the correct mix of each within a horror story or movie. She will set your nerves on edge by looking at our fears, especially our fear of the dark, and seek to answer the question of why it is that we like to be scared.
Your emotions now heightened, Marie will seek to chill you to the core by reading one of her dark and scary short stories.
If you like to be frightened, if you like to feel that shiver down your spine, if you like the feeling of not knowing who will be lurking in the darkness as you leave, then come and join Marie and have your taste-buds tantalised.
Come along and discover the terrifying power of stories.
I will be running a 6 week course starting 25 January 2018, so watch this space for more info ?
