  • Floga With Flossie Launch

As I am a yoga teacher, Jude asked me if I’d come along and do a little demo after her reading. I was more than happy to oblige and even had a couple of willing participants, one of whom was Jude herself!

  • CofW Writers’ Group Meeting

We then had a battle of the genres, where horror went up against sci-fi, historical fiction and children’s. HORROR WON!! I converted 6 people to the dark side (going from an initial 5 to 11). Not sure if it was the red lipstick, the leather pants or what I actually said…..who cares!!

  • My Short Story ‘Two Days’ Wins First Prize at Wrexham’s Carnival of Words 2017

How excited am I to announce that my short story ‘Two Days’ won the top prize at the Carnival of Words on 1 May. I am absolutely over the moon and got to hear AD Garrett read it out loud too!

What’s tickling my writing pals is that ‘Two Days’ is a story of passion not horror!

In case you missed it, here are some pictures. ‘Two Days’ will be published in a separate post.

  • Promoting Broken Bonds at the New Voices Event at Wrexham’s Carnival of Words 2017

  • Meet the Author at Write Blend

Fabulous evening at Write Blend Book Shop, talking about my writing journey, the themes within Bonds, PLUS a couple of readings too!!

As well as this, I got to meet the legendary horror write, Ramsey Campbell, and have his reading dedicated to what I’d said during my talk!

On top of all that, Mr Campbell bought a copy of Tales From a Scarygirl. What a memorable night!
